Accountant (m/f/d)

 

Key job responsibilities:

  • Maintains and reconciles Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in an accurate and proficient manner.
  • Under the direction of the Controller, manage the accounting for the accounts payable system, including maintenance of data files, general ledger, and subsequent journal entries.
  • Manage the accounts receivable system, including regular review of aging AR, receiving, and posting payments, collection efforts and recommendations for updated customer credit.
  • Assist with annual financial audit.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory. This includes planning, counting and reconciliation of inventory variances.
  • Cross train in order entry, order processing and acknowledgements
  • Qualifying customers for credit limits and setting terms.
  • Work with the Controller to create, produce and maintain reporting regarding monthly, quarterly and annual KPI reporting.
  • Assist in the month end closing process and work closing with the German counterpart regarding any forth coming accounting process changes and intercompany accounts.
  • Complete and file monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns

Required skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Navision or Microsoft Dynamics NAV, CRM.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and be proficient in spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and training requirements:

  • Associate degree in accounting required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar work experience preferred.
