Single-frequency, narrow linewidth diode laser

TOPTICA’s TopMode lasers operate as easily as a HeNe, but also offer higher power at 405 nm. The TopMode sets records in terms of power, coherence and wavelength stability. The proprietary regulation method, called CHARM, ensures continuous single-frequency operation. TopMode and CHARM means nothing less than reliable 24/7 operation.

The TopMode is particularly well-suited to applications that require a strong single-frequency, high-coherence beam. Raman spectroscopy of inorganic materials, holography, interferometry and holographic data storage all benefit from the TopMode's characteristics: High power and wavelength stability at a wavelength that is visible to the naked eye, compatible with silicon detectors, making the live of engineers and scientists much easiers.

High power in a small package
100mW of power and a long coherence length. The TopMode is the only single-frequency laser on the market in this form factor providing up to 100 mW of power at 405 nm. 
Repeatable high-resolution measurements
The grating-stabilised diode laser is perfected by our CHARM Active Coherence Control. The external cavity architecture provides a long coherence length and our CHARM coherence control system monitors the laser and actively maintains single-frequency operation. 
Run your measurement with high uptimes
Our lasers keep running in single frequency for a long time. Compact and passively air-cooled, the TopMode laser head is absolutely silent and free of vibrations. 
Develop your products faster
The TopMode is designed with OEM integration in mind. The laser head is compact and passively cooled, enabling easy integration into your optical system. The laser can be easily controlled programmatically using ASCII commands, from your own program.

Options

Fiber coupling: SmartDock
The SmartDock provides a coupling efficiency >50%. Both single-mode and polarization-maintaining fibers can be connected.
Wavelength selection
Request a wavelength selection of +/- 0.25 nm instead of the standard +/- 2 nm
