TOPO
Tunable mid-IR laser for important molecular regions
Absorption spectroscopy is used for gas sensing to monitor the environment, and it is used as a diagnostic tool for combustion and air flow to improve the efficiency of electricity generation and combustion engines. It is used in label-free microscopy for biomedical imaging and semiconductor inspection with the aim to improve human health and technology. The TOPO is also used to develop chip-based sensors that rely on mid-infrared light, and for quantum communications networks that improve data security.
Your Benefits
Wide infrared tuning with high resolution
The TOPO can tune over critical molecular absorption features in very small steps and with narrow spectral linewidth (< MHz).
High power at hard-to-reach infrared wavelengths
The TOPO relies on robust near-infrared lasers and optical nonlinearity to generate Watt-level power at otherwise hard-to-reach wavelengths.
Spectroscopy-ready
The TOPO is turn-key, and all tuning actuators can be remote controlled by the system controller or software for easy and algorithmic tuning.
Options
Narrow linewidth
The standard TOPO has an idler linewidth of 2 MHz (5 ms). With this option, the idler linewidth is reduced to < 100 kHz (5 ms).
Wavelength meter
A wavelength meter from HighFinesse is highly recommended for fast, continuous wavelength monitoring, because the output wavelengths are not calibrated with high accuracy.
Locking electronics
A broad variety of electronic locking modules is available for frequency stabilization.
