New Material Characterization Method using TOPTICA's TeraBeam

ǀ  News Company News

TOPTICA’s partner Lake Shore installed a new system for material characterization at terahertz frequencies in Professor Dan Mittleman’s laboratory at Brown University (Providence, RI).

The system includes TOPTICA’s frequency-domain laser platform TeraBeam and features the new, digital control unit DLC smart. It enables high-resolution spectroscopy of materials at cryogenic temperatures and high magnetic fields. According to Lake Shore application scientist Dr. David Daughton, TOPTICA’s experience in research-grade lasers and laser controllers was crucial for achieving the ultra-stable measurement performance required in this demanding application.
