As a proud sponsor of the APS 2018 Norman F. Ramsey Prize, TOPTICA would like to congratulate recipient Prof. Peter Zoller from Universität Innsbruck “For his pioneering theoretical work on quantum computation, communication, and simulation with trapped ions, atoms, and molecules.“

Established in 2016 by The American Physical Society (APS) the Norman F. Ramsey Prize recognizes outstanding accomplishment in AMO Physics (Atomic, Molecular and Optical) and Precision Tests of Fundamental Laws and Symmetries - both of which were fields that Ramsey himself excelled in.

TOPTICA Photonics Inc. is pleased to join in part with close family, friends and other industry partners as a main supporter of this award to honor Ramsey’s memory and his contributions to both the Precision Measurements and AMO communities.

„Congratulations Prof. Zoller”, stated CEO Mark A. Tolbert, “and thank you for your contributions to our community, it continues to be an honor to be a part of the Norman F. Ramsey Prize“.

This is the first year the prize will be awarded and presented during the Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP) annual meeting in May.

Please join us in congratulating Prof. Zoller for his hard work and contributions to the AMO community.
