FemtoFiber Scientific

- Modular scientific laser system
- Compact and robust design
- Excellent uptime and lifetime values
- Unique wavelength coverage
- Multi-color synchronized outputs
The FemtoFiber Scientific fiber lasers are based on state-of-the-art telecom components. Core-pumped Erbium-doped fibers act as the active laser media. The pump-power originates from long-life pigtailed laser diodes at wavelengths close to 980 nm. Passive mode-locking techniques for ensuring ultrafast pulse generation is achieved by non-linear polarization rotation.
The fiber oscillators of the FemtoFiber Scientific fiber lasers may be used for seeding either one or two optical amplifiers. Synchronized two-branched laser systems are highly beneficial in applications like frequency metrology and pump-probe experiments. Several options further enhance the scope of the scientific series of the FemtoFiber lasers. These include several frequency conversion extensions and options for synchronizing the laser pulses to other pulsed sources, allowing the FFS systems to be used for ECOPS (electronically controlled optical sampling) experiments without any mechanical delay stages.
