cw THz Packages: Lasers and Photomixers for Frequency-Domain THz Spectroscopy

TOPTICA’s cw laser packages – ideal sources for frequency domain terahertz.

TOPTICA offers different product packages to help customers select the most suitable components for their cw terahertz experiment. The packages are fully modular and can be combined and upgraded depending on the requirements of the experiment.

The Standard Package comprises two Distributed Feedback diode lasers with fiber-optic beam combination, driver electronics and an FPGA-based module for computerized frequency tuning. The High Power Extension offers an increased laser output to maximize the dynamic range of a terahertz spectrum. The Phase Modulation Package offers a fast and accurate technique to scan the terahertz phase by means of a twin-fiber stretcher assembly. Last not least, the cw Terahertz Spectroscopy Kit comprises a pair of state-of-the-art photomixers with SM/PM fiber pigtail. The TeraScan systems are “TopSeller“ configurations, designed for some of the most common frequency-domain terahertz applications.

Any package is available at 850 nm and 1550 nm, with either GaAs or InGaAs/InP based terahertz emitter and detector modules. Other options, including non-standard laser wavelengths, accessories for highest frequency resolution, or customized optical designs are available upon request.
