The ColdPack is a TO-3 adapter kit that houses any standard 9 mm or 5.6 mm laser diode. The package features and integrated thermistor and four thermoelectric coolers (TECs), which serve to stabilize the laser temperature, or rapidly cool/heat the diode, as requested by the application in mind. In conjunction with TOPTICA’s Diode Temperature Control DTC 110, a thermal stability of 1 mK is attained.
