The ultimate tunable diode laser: TOPTICAs DL pro

DL 100 / pro design

  • Tunable diode laser in patented pro technology
  • Widest wavelength selection: 370 nm .. 1770 nm
  • Ultra stable against temperatures & acoustics
  • Low drift, narrow linewidth
  • Easy coarse & fine tuning

The DL 100 / pro design combines the advantages of two successful TOPTICA lasers: all diodes for the DL 100 are available in the superior mechanical design of the pro series . The pro series mechanics is ultra stable and easy to use. It has low drift and narrow linewidhts. The DL 100 / pro design specifications depend strongly on the implemented laser diode and are given in TOPTICA’s laser diode stock lists. Patents: DE 10 2007 028 499 and US 7970024.

Motorized wavelength selection with manual and computer control
Typical accuracy ±0.2 nm, much higher repeatability.Motorization for DL 100/ pro design is available for selected laser diodes only.

Optical Isolation
single stage

Isolators are used to protect the laser diode from back reflections. This not only prevents damage to the diode but also ensures untroubled single-mode operation and tuning. Fiber coupling with angle polished fibers (both ends) requires at least a single stage isolator.

Optical Isolation
double stage

Double stage isolators are needed if reflections from the experiment into the laser are expected. Fiber coupling with non-angle polished fibers also requires a double stage isolator.

APP C

The compact prism pair is used for beam compression only. The compressed circular beam is small enough for using inexpensive small aperture isolators, and the fiber coupling efficiency is enhanced by approximately 10 %. The compression ratio is set at the factory.
The variable APP J is available for beam compression and expansion.

FiberDock

TOPTICA's patented fiber coupler provides highest single-mode fiber coupling efficiencies, easy alignment and at the same time highest stability. TOPTICA additionally offers a wide range of single-mode and polarization maintaining fibers, including fiber-optic beam splitters. Optical isolation is mandatory for fiber coupled diode laser systems.
Electronics ModulesA large range of control, stabilization and frequency locking modules are available.
