TOPTICA's new DL DFB BFY is a laser head designed for butterfly-type DFB diodes. The diode output is optically isolated and focused into a single-mode fiber pigtail. The compact and rugged laser head provides not only the required mechanical protection for the laser diode, but also a superior heat management even for high-power DFB diodes. The unit is available either with fiber output or with a fiber connector port.

    The DL-Mod PCB features two input ports:
    • DC-coupled input port: Bandwidth 50 MHz
    • AC-coupled input port: can be configured either as modulation input with a bandwidth of 100 kHz - 50 MHz, or as a bias-T with approx. 300 MHz bandwidth.
