SC 110 – Scan Generator with High Voltage Amplifier

The SC 110 is optimized for driving ECDLs, DFBs or scanning Fabry-Perot interferometers. It can be configured in HV (150 V) or LV (24 V) mode; output frequency, amplitude and offset are adjustable over a wide range. The “feed forward” feature controls the diode current during a Piezo scan to maximize the mode hop free tuning range of an ECDL system. A trigger input / output connector permits an easy synchronization with an experiment.

Frequency scan of an ECDL laser. The output of the SC 110 (red trace) is fed to the grating piezo, and an attenuated signal is simultaneously added to the laser current (“feed forward”). This results in a continuous scan range of 22 GHz. The mode spectrum (blue trace) was measured with TOPTICA’s Fabry-Perot interferometer FPI100.
