Options & Related Products
Standard features:
- FINE – Feedback Induced Noise Eraser: Purely electronic feature, making the iBEAM smart insensitive to optical feedback (no isolator, noise eater etc.)
- SKILL – SpeckleKILLer: Reducing speckles by decreasing the longitudinal coherence lengths of emitted light to a minimum
Options:
- Fiber coupling - FiberDock
TOPTICA's FiberDock turns the iBeam into a rugged fiber-coupled diode laser system. Both single-mode and polarization-maintaining fibers can be connected to the FiberDock. Better than 60% coupling efficiency is guaranteed, but efficiencies up to 90 % have been demonstrated due to the high beam quality of the iBeam.
- Fiber output collimator – FiberOut
Some applications demand a fiber-coupled laser and beam collimation at the end of a fiber. To provide a comprehensive solution, the FiberOut turns the divergent beam at the fiber end into a collimated beam again (0.5 mm - 4 mm @ 1/e² CA: 4.8 mm). FC/PC and FC/APC connectors are standard, others can be accommodated.
- Analog modulation
Access to analog power modulation with a frequency of up to 2 MHz (depending on modulation depth). The modulation depth can be set by the operator and calibrated to the input signal. Any modulation function is supported (e.g. sine, triangle, arbitrary)
- Small beam option
Various applications using optical elements such as AOMs cut off laser power if a laser's beam diameter exceeds the free aperture. Thus, the small beam option avoids power losses or truncation of beams (beam diameter approx. 1 mm). In addition, this simplifies the replacement of gas lasers with similar beam diameters.
- Wavelength selection
Whenever a process shows extreme spectral dependence, the iBeam can be ordered with a tighter wavelength tolerance (e.g. 407 ± 1 nm). Thus you can be sure to get the ideal laser emission for your process.
- Wide-range AC/DC transformer
Provides the necessary 12 V DC, if no adequate supply is available in your application
