dfBeam – DFB Diode Laser System
- Narrow linewidth < 10 MHz
- Long coherence length > 2.5 m
- > 35 dB ASE suppression
- Fiber coupling available
The dfBeam unites the advantages of our industrial diode laser setup and the unique properties of the latest DFB diode technology. Extremely narrow linewidth, high beam quality, low power consumption, and highest robustness against vibration or mechanical shocks – simply the best for OEM integration. This results in a hands-off laser system for applications such as high resolution Raman microscopy, interferometry or gas sensing.

Options:
- Isolator option
Isolator unit with mount (fixed to dfBeam), isolation > 34 dB, transmission > 86 %. This option is strongly recommended, as single-frequency laser are very sensitive even to very low optical feedback - Fiber coupling - FiberDock
TOPTICA's FiberDock turns the dfBeam into a rugged fiber-coupled diode laser system. Both single-mode and polarization-maintaining fibers can be connected to the FiberDock. Better than 60 % coupling efficiency is guaranteed, but efficiencies of 75 % are typical due to the high beam quality of the iBeam.
Please note: Fiber coupling is only available in combination with the isolator option! - Fiber output collimator – FiberOut
Some applications demand a fiber-coupled laser and beam collimation at the end of a fiber. To provide a comprehensive solution, the FiberOut turns the divergent beam at the fiber end into a collimated beam again (0.5 mm - 4 mm @ 1/e² CA: 4.8 mm). FC/PC and FC/APC connectors are standard, others can be accommodated. - Wide-range AC/DC transformer
Provides the necessary 12 V DC, if no
