The FiberDock is a universal fiber-coupler suitable for both TOPTICA laser systems and third party lasers.
Typical requirements for fiber-couplers are high coupling efficiency, simple and straight-forward handling and long-term stability. The new FiberDock meets these requirements, while providing further advantages: It is a compact, rugged coupler designed for easy use, while still having all required degrees of freedom to allow maximum coupling efficiency (up to 85%* with SM-fibers or PM-SM-fibers and 90% with MM-fibers). FC, PC, and APC connectors can be used.
All alignment axes (X-, Y-, Z- and Theta) are virtually independent, thus eliminating cross-talk and significantly reducing hysteresis. Once aligned, all axes can be individually locked, requiring minimal correction of alignment during locking.
Based on the individual laser parameters, such as wavelength (from 350 to 2000 nm) and beam diameter (up to 6 mm), a suitable focussing lens can be selected and installed for optimum performance. The FiberDock can be fixed on various mounting adaptors (supplied by TOPTICA) or directly to your laser device. |
