Diode lasers for quantum computing and quantum simulation
Quantum computing and quantum simulation are both fields that enjoy a tremendous interest. A functioning quantum computer could perform certain computations and simulations exponentially quicker than traditional computers. Many possible realisations have been proposed and/or tested:
- Superconductors
- Trapped ions
- Quantum dots
- Cavity quantum electrodynamics
- and many more
Most of these techniques employ lasers. Either highly coherent lasers with minimal linewidths like TOPTICA's series of scientific laser systems, or pulsed lasers for ultrafast processing like TOPTICA's scientific fiber lasers.
TOPTICA's main advantage is the extremely narrow linewidth and the unmatched wavelength coverage for both CW and pulsed lasers.
