When talking about quality assurance and process control, one of the most powerful tools is Raman spectroscopy. Researchers benefit from this fast and precise method to trace back unwanted particles or examine the constitution of specimen. To achieve best results in high resolution Raman spectroscopy, the installed laser needs excel in several areas: narrow laser linewidth for highest resolution of the Raman spectrum, high power for sufficient signal-to-noise ratio and diffraction-limited beam quality for superb spatial resolution.
TOPTICA’s industrial diode lasers dfBeam and XTRA meet these requirements, using either an external cavity (XTRA) or DFB diode (dfBeam) technology. Customers appreciate the compact setup, integrated thermal control and convenient computer access via RS 232 interface. For OEM integration, the start sequence can be modified and adapted to specific needs.
For convenient handling, both dfBeam and XTRA can be equipped with SM-fiber-coupling. Simply place the laser anywhere you want and connect the fiber to your Raman spectrometer. Due to the high coupling efficiency of our patented fiber coupler FiberDock our customers receive a power of up to 200 mW (XTRA) at the fiber output.
Presently, the available wavelength range covers 760 nm to 785 nm. Further wavelengths are being tested and will be released soon.
For suitable high power lasers for Raman spectroscopy / microscopy go to iWave.
For suitable high power lasers for Raman spectroscopy / microscopy go to XTRA.
For suitable low power lasers for Raman spectroscopy / microscopy go to dfBeam.
