Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) is a form of laser scanning confocal microscopy utilizing sub-nanosecond laser pulses for excitation of fluorophores. The delay time of the fluorophore signal is measured and represented in false colors in the FLIM image. The unique wavelength range and the low amplitude noise make ultrafast fiber laser technology ideally suited for FLIM. |
