In the past, femtosecond lasers struggled to transfer their basic benefits from scientific applications into industrial markets. The main reason was the challenge to operate conventional ultrashort pulsed lasers like Ti:Sapphire systems under industrial environments. With the availability of mode-locked fiber lasers, which are solely based on well-proven telecom components, femtosecond technology is finally available for applications requiring operation under 24/7 conditions.

TOPTICA offers basic femtosecond fiber laser modules of the FFI series (FemtoFiber Industrial), which can be adapted to specific OEM requirements. Many components are based on the extensive know how of TOPTICA's successful industrial product lines, which are operated in the fields of printing, optical data storage, microscopy or biomedicine.
