| The unique high power source for Raman spectroscopy: XTRA

Typical applications:

For lasers used in Raman spectroscopy there are three fundamental requirements: high output power in a narrow emission band, extremely reliable long term wavelength stability, and an emission wavelength matched to the employed detector technology. Moreover, most customers demand a diffraction limited, gaussian beam for excellent spatial resolution and small bandwidth. With these features a system performs easily all tasks in high resolution Raman microscopy.
The XTRA is a compact, wavelength-stabilized, diode laser system with high-performance thermal management and integrated microprocessor. The XTRA is the ideal choice for demanding Raman spectroscopic as well as Raman microscopic applications as it allows to take both crucial factors – high spatial and high spectroscopic resolution to an unmatched level.
This high power Raman light source shows real single-frequency operation (linewidth < 10 MHz) with powers up to 500 mW (fiber coupled up to 250 mW). Furthermore, ultra low wavelength drift (wavelength control) and noise levels puts it well ahead of any other Raman laser source in the market. Integration of a high quality optical isolator as a standard feature ensures long term rock solid performance of the XTRA.
For industrial applications we included a RS 232 interface to ease maintenance and control of the laser via a standard PC.
Further wavelengths are under development, inquiries for a personalized laser are always welcome!
