The scan control SC 110 has been optimized for driving the grating stabilized diode laser head DL 100, for use with the regulator PID 110 or for scanning the Fabry-Perot interferometer FPI 100. The device evolved out of close cooperation with our customers, leading to longer scan times as well as external control and trigger options. One of its main features is a feed-forward loop; while the laser is tuned by changing the length of the extended cavity, an attenuated version of the grating piezo voltage is added to the injection current of the laser diode. A trimpot allows for precise adjustment of the ratio between piezo scan and diode current scan, greatly expanding the mode-hop free tuning range of laser diodes. |

- frequency: 0.01 Hz to 6 kHz, continuous frequency fine tuning
- maximum amplitude: -5 V ... +150 V, log. Amplitude potentiometer
- adjustable offset (can be switched off): -5 V ... +150 V, 10-turn precision potentiometer
- coarse frequency range switch (multiplexer, 10 positions)
- symmetric and asymmetric ramp, sawtooth signals
- variable asymmetry degree of the sawtooth, allows steep slopes
- now optimised also for slow scans, very good linearity
- standard TTL trigger synchronisation output, trigger time delay adjustable
- internal and external trigger input for synchronisation with the experiment
- two-colour-LED indicating the sign of the output voltage as a visible frequency display
- internal feed forward (FF) for simultaneous control of the laser current and the grating angle, adjustable
- all settings by precision trimmers, module width: 12 HP (60 mm)
- module optimized for control of the grating stabilized diode laser DL 100
