The DigiLock 110 is a digital solution for laser locking. It consists of FPGA based hardware with numerous analogue and digital inputs and outputs. The hardware module can be fitted into TOPTICA's SYS DC 110 rack system, and is controlled by special software via USB.
This combination allows numerous possibilities. The system can be used as a multi-channel oscilloscope to display a laser scan across an atomic resonance for example. The scan can be controlled by software to zoom into the absorption features, reducing the scan width. The "Click & Lock" technology then allows for the laser to easily be locked to any slope or peak in this spectrum. If more experienced users want to optimize the lock, they can take advantage of the network and spectrum analysis functions: measure transfer functions of all actuators in the laser, analyze the spectrum of the error signal, etc., etc. Together with all the advantages, that a digital lock offers over an analog solution, the result is not only easy locking, but also the optimum locking performance. |
