The affordable Fabry-Perot Interferometer that enables you to accurately analyze the spectral characteristics of your laser.
The FPI 100 is a high resolution, confocal Fabry-Perot Interferometer which combines the scanning interferometer and the detector unit in a single compact and rugged design.
Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometers are well established tools for measuring the spectral characteristics of continuous wave (cw) lasers. When high resolution is required together with a simple and fast operation, the confocal interferometer design is the most appropriate solution.
The FPI 100 Fabry-Perot Interferometer gives you the confocal interferometer design to an affordable price. The compact and rugged housing is made of aluminium. The detector is integrated in the housing and does not require any additional adjustment.
Mirrors with several different wavelength ranges are available as listed in the table below. In addition to the standard ranges, every center wavelength between 330 nm and 1700 nm can be specified by the customer. The standard reflectivity of the mirrors is 99.9%. Other reflectivities are available on special request. Using a laser beam with 3 mm diameter a minimum Finesse of 400 can be easily achieved. Typical Finesse values are up to 1000.
The confocal design of the FPI 100 does not require any adjustments of the mirrors except of optimizing the mirror spacing. That in addition makes an exchange of the mirrors very easy. To achieve an optimized mode matching an input lens is built in to focus the collimated beam to the center of the interferometer.
The FPI 100 is available with a free spectral range (FSR) of 1.0 GHz and 4.0 GHz. Taking into account the typical Finesse values of up to 400, a spectral resolution of better than 3 MHz (or 10 MHz respectively) can be achieved.
