APPLICATION SUPPORT / SCIENTIFIC TECHNICAL SALES: GOVERNMENT LABS

We are looking for a scientist to work as a high level Application Sales Specialist, to assume an important role supporting our team in North America. The successful applicant will be required to consult with our customers - providing technical, sales support, and interacting directly with top-level researchers in various disciplines. In addition to being the scientific connection to the field, the applicant will be expected to network and prospect for new account leads and business. This position is available in the

Bay Area in California. The role will require regular travel within the U.S. and Europe.
Responsibilities:

•  Present in-depth technical material for customer meetings and demonstrations of TOPTICA products.

• Provide onsite or remote technical support and training to the customer as well as guidance to the TOPTICA team in North America.

•  Meet TOPTICA’s level of support, service and dedication objectives dealing with all issues from a customer satisfaction perspective.

• Coordinate formal and contractually relevant communication to designated customersper company policy.

• Maximize the business for all TOPTICA products targeting designated customers according to business development programs agreed on with management.

• Increase responsibilities as well as depth and breadth of tasks commensurate with competency level and technical expertise acquired through professional experience on the job.

Qualifications:
This individual should have a hands-on background including diode and/or ultrafast lasers.

•  Degree in physics, optics or similar experience, PhD preferred.
•  Hands-on laser experience in THz, Ultrafast or AMO communities
•  Strong ability to communicate
•  Excellent computer and project management skills
•  Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
•  Well organized, structured and task focused
•  Confident negotiating skills, and ability to influence
•  Eager to grow within the role, develop and build on current skills
•  Team-oriented
•  Indentifying customers problems, consulting and providing a solutions
•  Good time management, independent and self-starting
